My paintings are born in quiet. I begin each piece by settling into stillness, guided by meditation and soft, calming music. From this silence, the brush moves as if it were an echo of breath—gentle, fluid, unhurried. Watercolor becomes my companion in this practice of presence, carrying me into a space where colors drift like thoughts across the mind. The nature of watercolor is surrender. It does not bend easily to control, but instead flows into places I cannot predict. In this dance with the unknown, I am asked to release expectation, to welcome mistakes, to see each unplanned mark as a gift. The paint teaches me that beauty is not always in precision, but in the freedom of what unfolds. For me, painting is a form of healing—a way of listening inward, of softening into what is. The washes and layers hold echoes of stillness, carrying with them a quiet invitation: to breathe, to pause, to rest. My hope is that those who encounter my work feel a trace of this calm, as though standing beside water, watching it ripple and flow—reminded that even in uncertainty, peace can be found. I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on Communication Design. I spent 8 years working in marketing and advertising. I always maintained the hobby of painting even after switching careers to healthcare. I have done a lot of self-actualization work and found that expressing myself through art feels like home. The process of finding myself brought back the younger version of me who didn't feel the confines of time and money (adulting).
